Twitter..

Well, Twitter doesn't interest me.
I am a very busy mom, so reading short blogs + such I like.. but Twitter seems too impersonal + useless for me. I guess I can see why some people like it. I don't have a cell phone or iPhone or Blackberry and Twitter seems like that would be ANOTHER thing to check that way.
I'd rather spend time with my sewing machine than Twitter.

LibraryThing!

Well, initially I was confused by all the misspelled Authour's names and wondered (still wondering, really) why LibraryThing is set up to store this useless information. Maybe it's not useless to everyone. I did enjoy reading some of the book reviews. I don't think it is for me, I have enough to do. Although, I may refer to it with a customer.

Google Calendar revisited.

Okay, it's all set up + pretty easy and fun to use. I do like my paper calendar which I write in with pencil + coloured pens.. but I might change to the online Google Calendar. I'll try it out.
I like the fact that if you want to combine yours with someone else's or vice versa, you can.

quality, usefulness + entertainment value are great. easy to view food pics from shopsins.. to calgary roller derby bout videos. great entertainment. funny library choices too.

Facebook + me = extreme time wasting + some fun.
Generally, Facebook is very time consuming + convenient.
It is both useful + counter productive, but I log in everyday.. more than once usually.

Wiki Friday!

Fun! I feel so powerful editing Wikipedia. Geez, it's a little scary + empowering all at the same time.
It was a little difficult to find something that needed to be edited. I didn't find any errors in grammar or spelling.. but I'm off in search of possibilities. Very interesting to look at the amazing amount of information on wiki.

Okay, to finish up with Delicious...

1. OOOOOwwww... AAhhh. Delicious. I'm getting completely lost in here. Sewing, diy, crafts... LOVE.

2. Staff blogs are FUN! It's nice to know I am not the only newbie out there + interesting to read other people's "minds".

3. Advantages of storing, tagging + sharing web content like this is a huge ocean of information at my fingertips. Amazing + wonderful! Disadvantages are the lost and overwhelming feeling of not finding what you set out to find in the first place after you may have been distracted by something shiny.

+ it is a beautiful day today. I hope everyone had a very relaxing weekend.
It was my weekend off and we went to the farmer's market on Saturday to eat yummy crepes, get some fruit + veg, and Veloria had a blast in the bouncy castle, decorating an Easter egg, getting her face painted + getting to chose a butterfly balloon for a special treat.

Friday...

Ahh, a quite afternoon in the most beautiful branch in the city.
I do love Fridays. This morning I arrived to work late, do to a minor mishaps on my bicycle.
My chain broke.
It broke before I crossed Memorial Drive, so I walked to work quickly pushing my bike along side me. A lovely man walking his dog, stopped to tell me how he wished he could help. That was help enough.
